about

Capturing the moments that weave our lives and loved ones together is so important. Every step of my photography journey has been closely tied to my own family, and that is why I feel so emotionally connected to photographing others.

My business began years ago, without my conscious thought. I didn’t wake up one morning and decide to become a professional photographer. I was simply a mom whose regular camera was not enough to keep up with her speedy kids. I bought a professional camera out of necessity, and became excited about learning every aspect of the art.

The journey continued when my entire family got together to give me the most generous gift: a high quality lens that has been my go-to piece of equipment every day since. Their belief in me spoke loud and clear, and it led me, step by step, to this place I am now. Photography and family, for me, are beautifully intertwined, and I cannot think of anywhere I would rather be.

Everyone I meet through photography is sharing a love story, however it happens, through a wedding, a family, senior or newborn session. We can’t help but get to know each other very well through the process. Although I love to travel to new places, because of the sheer beauty of magnificent outdoors, most photo sessions happen at our ranch, not in a studio or a storefront. You’ll come to my home. You’ll meet my family and pets. We will get to know each other very, very well, and you will quickly understand why nothing – not a screaming infant, a cranky toddler or an uncomfortable husband – can surprise me. The lively mix of family and home and photography is full of challenges and beauty, and it has made me a better photographer.

The greatest compliment is when my clients relax completely in the presence of my lens. If I can help someone feel comfortable, the best images create themselves. It’s a very personal process that I take great pride in.
